Problems with the tiger?
« on: March 24, 2004, 07:53:33 PM »
Ok i mad this forum jus for ppl having problems with the tiger tank, cause it seems like if you have to pay for something like that then 1 shot from a panzer(which you dont have to pay for) should not be able to kill you, i have been having big problems with getting killed in one shot while i am in a tiger, and i was jus wondering how many other ppl were having problems with the tiger?

Hmmm... in CMAK the Tiger is one very, very hard nut to crack.

You wanna PBEM?
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

What do you want it to be invincible, I think they should get rid of the tiger or the panzer

no i dont want to be invincible but the tiger should be stringer and a panzer should not be able to kill a tiger in 1 shot and NO they shouldnt get rid of either one.

If you purchase a  Tiger, do so on the basis that it is going to be hit and killed/disabled quite quickly and not to your liking.

HE from under d2.0 is going to disable a track, town debris will result in go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect 200 etc.

I do suspect that some Tiger deaths, and panzer for that matter are purely random, and for that I feel your pain.

The whole ground war is pointless. I very much hope AH2 puts some sense in it. The way it is now it is only frustrating.

Well, I wish I had it on film, but last night I was in a tiger, shot an M3 with an AP round from about 1.2 out, and it BOUNCED OFF THE HOOD!  Completely deflected my shot.  Now I just don't understand how that is possible....   But hey, war is unpredictable I guess  :aok

I've found that tigers are almost impossible to kill in A PZ...never have come close to popping one in 10 hits...let alone 1. Best I can to is knock out turret or engine or tread...takes an awful lot to finally finish em off...I almost alwaysget killed by someone else when I'm working on finishing the tiger off.

tiger is porked in my opinion, here are some of my observations...

Shells are buggy and *appear* to go through targets.

It bounces like a pogo stick when 1 track is out.

It dies too easy if you are in one.

It dies too hard if you are shooting one.

I died from no more than 4 pings at over 3k from manned ack in one (so fast i could not even load supplies)

It rolls around like it weigh's nothing when going down hill.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.
