Ea has never received another dime from me.

In point of fact, EA bought a dying horse from Newscorp and then just did little to try and save it. If you really wanna be pist at someone...try Rupert Murddock (the owner of Newscorp). (which means you could boycott newspapers, TV, movies and baseball...if they haven't sold the Dodgers yet :))

Just because I fly tactically doesn't mean I don't get low and mix it up. In reality anyone who is a successfull killer in AH has to be at or near the altitude of his adversary. In these massive furballs that are Aces High you simply cannot compete for kills (especially as a Rook!) and remain untouchable, to think otherwise is rediculous. To me, getting shot down is a tactical failure, it's just that simple. The real goal in air combat is to kill without being killed, that is what the various ACM's and tactical manuals are predicated upon. To preach ACM, then denounce it's most fundamental underlying principle, the whole paradigm of thought upon which it has evolved is irrational and just plain silliness.

Gave it a try ...

I gave it a try, and saw a few familiar tags from the old AW days (e.g. Hoagi, SK,  and Nuttz) but I kept a low profile and looked for a good 1 on 1. In two weeks I had two really good 1 on 1 turn fights, with xSternx and Doolitle, lost one and won the other, but both pilots came onto the open channel to give a salute and trade lies. I think more pilots would enjoy such action if they tried it more often ... but in the main arena it is almost impossible due to the tactics and organization of the players. That was the same reason I left AW in 1998 after playing for 2 years. But AH was fun, and the graphics and design are really good. I may try it again sometime.
