For sure dump the wireless mouse.  They're heavy and you'll go through batteries like M&Ms.  Get a wired optical mouse, you'll be glad you did.

Others have covered everything else.

Hmmm...  after 6 months of heavy use my Logitech cordless trackball and keyboard still show good battery levels and the MX700 mouse has a charging cradle.  I will never go back to cords; especially since my recliner is 10' from my computer and display.:D

My chordless logitech optical trackball only goes through about 1 AA Alkaline every two-three months.

But how can you get used to the bulky, heavy feel of the mouse? Not to mention that the gaming accuracy is way lower on wireless.
