Navy Sues Civilian for Return of Plane

What right does the US Navy have to try to hang onto everything it ever touched.

I was aware of cusslers problems with the navy. But  salvage is salvage. Around the world a vessel found adrift, abaondonded, or otherwise untended is legaly salvagable by the finder.  Everone else has to abide by  the same laws, But our navy is exempt?

BS

Total un freakin believe able BS

admirality rights or something like that....the navy can claim them no matter what, its the law and its been upheld.

Do I wish navy policy would change, yes I do, I hate what they are doing.

But the guy had no legal right to salvage the plane, ignorance is no excuse.
