A new game with some familiar faces
« on: December 25, 1999, 01:58:00 PM »
I used to fly WB as thun, thdx and -thdx-.  Its been about 2 years since I've flown there... ever since 2.0 went open beta (I did get to participate in the closed beta).

I recognize a few of the id's floating around here.  I am wondering if more and more are going to show up.

This game is pretty decent and will go pay-2-play at a reasonable price.  I'm wondering if there are rumors as to just how many defectors are going to migrate from AW3 and Warbirds.

I'm "Ghosth" in Aces High, Warbirds (Mostly the Historical Arena) & I know plenty others(includeing Brand W trainers) who fly both sims under their "Real" names.

No doubt you'll find me in WWII Online when it comes out as well.

I flew WB a few years ago. Belonged to the 1st ACG as D.E.D. One, later changed to Mr.ED, moved to AW3 as Mr.ED, and am here as Mr.ED. Fly a Pony in al of the above too!
The sim may change, but the name remains the same.

I flew WBs as Coker and was a member of the VMF-214th. I recently cancelled IEN account so I left the great guys and lady from the 214th. I'm waiting for some F4u enthusiast and some CV action :-)

Merry Christmas,

I'm with Datter. I use the same handle everywhere.
And I've never flown WB online and don't want to.

Hey Dej ;-)
I flew WB from it's inception(CK) until WB2.0. Machine(486DX4/100) couldn't handle it at the time. I flew as wlfe, redw and rdwe and swulfe for a few times in 2.0. Never did AW.

I first started flightsim's when Falcon3 came out.  I was big into it for a while.  I even a hacked a patch to add some new theater campaigns to the sim.  I added "Chad" (Lybia)and "Bosnia" (I released My Bosnia about 8 months before Spectrum released theirs, but they CLAIM theirs was better LoL!)  Made some other F3 utils too.  Ah the golden age of hex editing.  You youngen's will never know what you missed.  Weeks of pouring over dat file hex dumps deciphering their contents.

91-93 I was a AirWarrior weenie.  Flew under the handle Desperado.  (my connects sucked so I played mostly in that half-time arena...stop laughing!)  Man, I was paying like $6.00 an hour or something crazy with Genie charges and all.  LoL!  What was I thinking!

Then work/school/reality got in the way came back to online sims with Flying Circus in 97.

And now I'm here. LoL!
