Hot oven shoots woman

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Reuters) - A woman heating fish fingers has been shot in the leg by a gun that had been stashed in her oven, police say.

Roxanne Perez, 29, from Texas, was taken to hospital on Friday where she was in good condition, they said.

A friend of hers had hidden the .357 calibre handgun in the stove two weeks earlier without telling her after she told him no guns were allowed in her house.

When Perez heated up the fish fingers she also heated up the gun, which caused several rounds to be fired. One hit her in the leg.

No charges have been filed because the shooting was accidental, police said.

Well that shooting was accidental. Thne next one at that house will likely be pretty darn intentional. :rofl

obviously she doesn't have kids.  nobody with kids would turn on an oven without checking it out for toy, crayons, a frog, whatever.

Uhhh - the woman didnt put the gun in the oven - someone else did - how is she the least bright human?

she is the victim of someone else's stupidity and inability to safely handle a loaded weapon.  Those who put the gun in the oven should be prosecuted for criminal reckless endangerment and sued in a civil suit too

sheesh, do you spin EVERYTHING your way Lazs?

No, no, no.  See, it was stupid for the man to think he could hide a gun in the oven in the first place.  His point was, at least gun laws aren't trying to save the man from the beating he's going to get when she gets out of the hospital.

And no jury would convict her!
