Frames 35-45 averaging about 40

mine didnt look anything like that,

where in the terrain was it that "red" ?

what resolution are you running, and what do you have the detail sliders set to?
I don't know what to put here yet.

 Intel P4 1.7Ghz/512DDR/SUMA GeForce4 MX440
 40~50fps average
 Video settings at:
 1280x960
 ground detail distance 1.5 miles
 other two performance/detail sliders set at approx 50%

WinFast Geforce2 mx400 64 meg
256 meg pc2100 (133mhz) DDR
"default" button normalized the sliders 1024 res

From memory from last night:
Max'ing out just below 50 fps, at takeoff is 35 fps or some such.  To measure worst performance used a totally smoking fuel depot strat . Flying low over that in a20G and fps goes way down to 12 fps.  

Getting some flashing on roads and some terrain tiles, other than that pretty good.   Also there are some tiles where a M8 can only  go like 1 or 2 mph level in first gear. You have to hold stick forward or it will stop ( don't know if that was intentional)*

*(example of this is near and under the large highway bridge SE A1)
