"Mar. 21 - America's buoyant economic recovery could largely be a statistical illusion, according to research released this weekend.

Last year's growth may be half the official figure, which would explain the lack of job creation which is damaging President Bush's re-election chances.

A growing number of discrepancies are emerging in America's economic numbers, including a dramatic over-estimation of manufacturing output. The latest analysis from Goldman Sachs suggests that the US economy may have grown by only about 2.2 percent in the year to the fourth quarter of 2003, considerably less than the official 4.3 percent."

I will be patiently awaiting Lazs response. 2.2% growth?? Is Goldman Sachs a left wing enclave now? I cant wait to hear the spin.

LOL! this is the second most common tactic for election year smear... the economy really isn't as good as the whithouse says it is... right up there with the unemployment figures are cooked because it doesn't count all the poor downtrodden people who have starved to death or have absolutely no money coming in from anywhere... who have just 'given up" but somehow continue to survive.

The capacity for the liberal to believe what they want to believe never ceases to amaze me.

it's pretty simple really... if you vote democrat you are voting like a woman.

If you vote for for a democrat you are giving fienstien an rubber stamp in the whitehouse.

look around you strk... the people agreeing with you are all from socialist countries. Why do you suppose that is? You claim that we are robbing the "treasury" by getting our tax money back and that the only way to fix the schools is to throw more money at em... Tax and spend....
