SFI-FI books series.  Nothing but pure action candy..  nothing like assimov....  not much depth to the technology but fun reading.

STEN is a character placed 3000 years in the future.  He's a commando for the Empire of the time.  He drinks a lot, kills a bunch of bad guys and gets laid in every book.  Classic

correction... book #5 he didn't get laid

I agree. This is not high brow reading at all but pure escapism and enjoyable.

As far as movies are concerned it would rate at least as high as matrix or star wars for plot value.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

aha mosgood i see.

Havent read the book/s so i have no idea, but sci-fi is either really good or really bad. not many of then are in the middle so the move better be well financed.

I don't think Shatner could pull it off anymore.

I'm on book 7 now and I think there are 2 or 3 more after this one.

Nilsen10... I agree... to do it justice it would have to be done right.. and on a huge budget...  but it would be a HUGE hit.

I could see it easily being the next James Bond type movies.  It's got asskicking, military strategy (very shallow but fun), boozing and hot women.  And then the Sten character is very likable as well.

Ya!  I wanna hear him talk....  it's tuff as hell to understnad what he's saying when reading it... it's gotta be hilarious to hear as well

I always imagined him as a short stouty guy with a thick neck and a flat top... and maybe a beard too

I always liked how the Tahn war mimicked the Pacific Theater.  Was rather neat drawing the parallels.
