I love it when people issue scathing reviews of a map that has been out for one day. Right or wrong, they spend the next several months blindly defending their innitial statements.

It seems a bit early to be "judging" a map this harshly with any type of accuracy.

Point was ... I was not impressed. Anybody can build a computer, and building your own machine does not make it exempt from some sort screw up on your part, be it hardware or software ... more typically software.

I never said that my machine was better than yours ... it probably isn't, but nevertheless, myself and a whole lot of other people have flown into this area without the adverse effects that you described.

Basic root cause analysis would lead a resonable person to wonder why "I" am experiencing the problem and many others aren't ... especially with "lesser" store bought computers.

The root of the problem is in your system/software or connection, not the map, nor the game. If it was, all of us would experience the same problem, but maybe in varying degrees.

How ya doing? I haven't tried this map yet. Just checked in and saw 362 online - the usual Gang or Get Ganged number structure, so I shall wait for a more civilised time tomorrow afternoon when there will be about 125 online.

its a big map...with all the furballers content on there little island in the middle it leaves a huge amount of space left for strat players the strat there hearts out...

I couldnt agree more with morpheus. Funny how PFunk has not answered anyone with decent comments. BTW! I have been flying NO where near furball island and found plent of fights on surrounding bases. I have had no lag yet either and im running a POS 16 bit vid card:eek:

Maybe we should just ditch this map since YOU dont like it, because YOU are very important. Sure everyone's opinion is open for discussion, but discarding a map because of a ninny statement like yours is simply outrageous.

Also I dont know if you notices but bugs on Pizza and Isles were reported well into the MA stages. They were reported and you would not beleive me if I told you..... They were fixed! Astounding isnt it!

You need to address the bugs you have found and the problems you see with the map. Starting the forum name off with Festers new map plain ole sucks was not the way to be going about things. And you say others in this forum are childish, down right funny. Have you thought about the time Fester has put into making the map and what he is doing it for? Let me try to clarify, he is doing it for the community. But I guess someone of your intelectual ability already knows that.

To each his own Pfunk, but I think the map is beautiful and innovative. Just wish it wasn't so big.... too many places for the girly men to hide.

That's exactly how I feel when people (about 1% of the total AH subscribership) whine about the pizza map.

It has turned this game into Quake High, nothing but a massive furball of planes and GV's in one central location, no strategy whatsoever.

This is why I preferred playing whith 150-200 people online.
Map has very little, if anything to do with it. AH (main arena) is simply too popular. Just too danged many people for me. Ben this way for the past few years. Prepare the caveat: IN MY OPINION.

The shipping alone is reason to like this map... Good textures and the increased airdefense is vast improvement..

I like the Map...

I ask those who claim it sucks how many combat air patrols have you done..

now if your too busy score whoring with the herd yeah you may have problems..

Go fly away from the herd blow something up at a base make it flash and wallaa fighter upping to engage you.. Its just that easy..

I had plenty of low plane (under 10 aircraft in the skys total) engagements all weekend...

Turn off the whine and do what I said and youll get the engagement your looking for..

Fester at least he made a map, instead of yapping about how others suck.

Thats more than most have contributed and is appreciated...

Like the map alot ! wtg

A couple things may need attention though

Please re-make the fuel cells to the standard size,
put bunkers around em if ya like, but disguising them as AA looks bad IMO

The City terrain tiles where the town sits on look odd
and hard on the eyes for some of us old timers

When the Task group has 2 CV's and the "Spawn" CV is sunk,
planes can still launch from where the CV was.
