Hey Golfer,

You need to buy my Comanche!  ;)
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

One of my hobbies makes the money to pay for the others.  So technically they cost me nothing.

I make money betting on horses. A five figure sum in the last year and a half. Not today though although I did have the second in the English Grand National.

That pays for the flying and all the other stuff. Even flying will soon start to pay when I start as a part time Instructor.

I also work occasionally as an extra on TV and movies but that pays as well.

There seems to be theme developing here! LOL
I don't have hobbies I have jobs.

Guess I need a new hobby.

Never seen the 1:48. The 1:72 are pretty hard to find now-a-days.

My last 2 purchases were Johnny English (£6 + P&P secondhand from Amazon) and Von Ryan's Express (£8.99 retail from MVC). I see you've got Bullitt - my favourite McQueen movie. Damn clever plot... "you sent us to guard the wrong man, Mr. Chalmers!"

Also, your ID on that site is MrHanky. Did you ever fly in AH with that handle? I seem to remember coming head to head with a Mr.Hanky.
I paid $9.95 us for Life of Brian.  I've paid $19.95 for about 1/10th of my collection.  Usually I pay $10-$15 for a movie.  The expensive stuff is the series like "The Simpsons", "South Park" and "The Family Guy".  Those are $30 each.

And yes... I flew as "MrHanky" in the MA.  Thinking of going back to it.

Computer games. 1000 a year between games and computer.

Golf. Spent nearly 3k last year on it..less this year cause I have most of my clubs but the fairway woods I want. Probably just range fees and greens fees this year. Maybe 1200.

Fly fishing. Probably 2k a year in flys gas, licenses and new gear.

Scale Models. Maybe 500 a year.

War books. 400 a year or so.

BBQ. Probably about 500 a year.

Not much on cars right now (actually trucks), but that will start up in about 2 years.  I want to drop a 383 into the blazer and get the pickup a little more reliable.  I'd like to get a 65 mustang fastback or a 66 chevelle and do a full restoration too... but that's more like 10 years out.

Hmmm, missed this post earlier.....
You wouldn't be getting the excellent 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens, would you? :)
If you're into long range and it's not too dark out, the 400mm f/5.6L at $1100.00 is a real good buy. Super sharp, fast focusing.

Looking at the Cannon 400mm f/5.6L IS lens.  But that's not until next year.

Women: not much. No time for dating. Skychicas are generally seduced by copious amounts of beer and lying about my jump numbers and skills ("yah shure bay-bee, I khan do head down docks, whanna shee my shcars?"). Probably around $50-$100 a month, top.

Cars: Nothing

Guns: Nothing:

Skydiving: Oh sh|t. In less than a year I've spent:
$3000 on a rig
$670 on coached jumps
$180 on freefly pants
$220 on helmet
$200 on audible
$100 on new altimeter
$400 on beer (that's what bad weather does)
$2000 on jump tickets
$500 on travelling to and from dropzones
$300 on gear maintenance

And some other odds and ends. Total: 7570. *****! I knew there was a reason for me not doing the math!

And I've been unemployed during this time, and my jumping limited due to bad weather and lack of funds.

Other hobbies: nothing. I have no other hobbies right now.
