run DXdiag.exe (start menu=> run in the dialog box type dxdiag and next enter)

this is the same problem i got, i have directX 9.0a and i need 9.0b. i downloaded the 9.0b and the computer will not change it from a to b. i have no idea what to do next

yes, i open the folder and install it. the computer tells me that the install was sucessful but when i run dxdiag.exe it still shows 9.0a

need scooby and the crew for this mystery
