I haven't installed any outside source firewalls on my system and according to Shieldsup my computer scores perfectly and is extremely secure. All my ports are stealth and as far as shieldsup can tell my computer doesn't exist on the internet. Does this make any sense?

back when I had dial-up I was running the 'black-ice' firewall.  one week, just for kicks, I set it to keep a log of every portscan.

I averaged over 125 'attacks' per day.
