HTC Incentive Program?
« on: March 01, 2000, 11:10:00 AM »
Hitech, Pyro, etc... the sim to date has been excellent. I actually like it better than brand W now. Didn't think I would ever say that! Keep up the work, its outstanding. Now that I hopefully have you in my corner, lets talk about existing and the most important "New" Customer base.

Incentive Programs! Yeppers, and intially it won't cost HTC anything but some minor programing.

Since I don't know how your Corp. is setup, I'm gonna make some assumptions here. This may very well be a mute suggestion depending on the Corp. and/or (place) it was setup.

In order to build and maintain a large and dedicated Customer base, I suggest the following:

1. Offer a share/portion of HTC stock for every month they are a subscriber. Example 1/2 share for every month they subscribe. Stock would be foreited if not active for 2 months?

2. Offer a share/portion of HTC stock to member that brings in a new pilot. (new member must remain active for 6 months before stock is awarded.)

I'm also assuming that the HTC stock is not worth a large amount of money at this point. But in 2 or 3 years when HTC goes IPO. We will all have something to look back on and say I help build that sucker! Not to mention something more tangible (HTC stock) to go along with the memories.

Anyway, this came to me ina dream last nite. If I need a cold slap (down) to wake me up, feel free. I'll crawl back under my rock now

PS. HTC need any Marketing help, Im looking!

Yer assuming that HTC needs additional capital to grow!  Dunno who Hitech's backers are (perhaps its HT himself....dunno) but they have probably invested quite a bit of money into AH expecting it to lead the next generation of massively multiplayer online sims into the future.  The way things are going, they are doing a fine job.

I'm sure they have significant capital left to keep everyone employeed for a while until the number of subscribers increase past the breakeven point.  Dont you even dare think that HT and all are close to making a profit yet!

HT's backers dont want to dilute their ownership anymore than they need to before the company goes public (if it ever does).  Their primary needs right now are to increase the number of subscribers rather than raise additional capital.

Your marketing is right on, just a little mistargeted

One thing i've been considering is adding a field into the subscribe/cc entry is a place to add an account name of who got you interested (not your own account). We would then credit this account 1 month free. So if you brought 12 new subscribers you would get 1 year free.

HTC,

How about a family discount?  My son and I both have accounts.
