B-26. WOW!
« on: December 29, 1999, 03:57:00 PM »
I do have to say that the screen shot of the B-26 has to be one of the best rendered WWII aircraft in a sim I've ever seen - imho!

 Very, very, VERY well done.

I can't think of any other time in an online sim I've been so eager to try out a buff.
The WB's Dauntless comes close but the AH B-26 has given me a fresh shot of juice.

 Thanks.

Please folks! The B-26 is NOT a BUFF.
BUFF refers mostly to the superfortress and alot to the B-29 but the B-26's proper nickname is the Baltimore potato. It's short wings provided no visible means of substenace (sp??) Leave the term "buff" for the Big Ugly Fat F*ckers that deserved it.

Not familiar with that bird, but it seems not to have ball gunner.

Can it defend itself from attack from below ?

Can't wait to put some 30mm in it

The B29 was sometimes called "the Big A**ed Bird", not the "Buff".

The B29 was officially named  the Superfortress by Boeing.(Shortened to "Superfort" by those who flew her.)

The Buff is the B52.(ONLY)

Goombah - "BUFF" was a termed used by the USAAF before the B-52 existed.
