Omarosa, A Shining Example of ?
« on: April 08, 2004, 09:19:00 PM »
Talk about a waste of secondary education dollars.  Check this out:

"Omarosa is a former political appointee in the Clinton and Gore White House. She currently works as a political consultant in Washington, DC. Omarosa had a humble youth, growing up in the projects of Youngstown, Ohio, but she eventually graduated from Central State University. She also earned a Master's degree from Howard University and is now working toward her Ph.D, which should be awarded to her in the spring of 2004. Omarosa's hobby is pageantry and she enjoys working as an image consultant who has successfully trained a Miss USA, Miss Taiwan and Miss Guyana."  -The Apprentice website bio.

WOW.  Working on  Ph.D and her hobby is "pageantry"?  She's also an "image consultant" as well as a "political consultant".  She couldn't make a bigger prettythang out of herself on national TV if she tried to.

Oh, and by the way, if any of you aren't familiar with "That's the pot calling the kettle black", that ISN'T a racial comment no matter what a Ph.D candidate thinks, especially when she says she's never heard that colloquialism (whatever).  It is the same as "That's the stop sign calling the stoplight red", or "That's the avacado calling the lettuce green.", or for this BBS "That's the Spitdweeb calling the LA7dweeb a dweeb."

I know, I know, who cares anyway.  I just needed to vent a little.

Master's degree and Ph.D in what?  Cosmetology?  Fashion Design? Etiquette?

Anybody can be a political consultant.  You just have to find someone looking to hire someone in your niche.

She is a bit evil.  I admit the guilty pleasure of watching the Apprentice.   A few conclusions:

Donald Trump has no equal for ego.  His ego wouldnt fit in the Grand Canyon.

Ericka was cute as heck.

Amy gets by mostly on looks, and sure likes her short skirts to help.

Kwame is a bright guy but not too experienced in life, maybe needs to get more assertive.

Matt is arogant as heck without justification.

Omarosa is lazy, more seduced by the perks of the success than she iis driven to achieve.   She is nasty, jealous and lacks even a shred of integrity.

On the news today, Omarosa was a topic of conversation where they stated she has been fired from her last 3 jobs due to her attitude.  (Including being fired from the White House staff twice)

Oh well, Bill seems together and like I said, Ericka was cute has heck.

I agree with most of your points.

Amy was the leader in getting results for a long time.  Then she crashed and burned hard.

I really liked Troy's attitude.  No secondary eucation is what really hurt him.

It's no surprise about Omarosa's past.  I could see that in her history just by what I saw on the show.  What is REALLY telling to me, if your info is correct, is that the Clinton admin. fired her TWICE.  One of my wife's coworkers saw her on Opray yesterday and was litterally yelling at the TV after watching Omarosa's comments and attitude.  And to think, she won a "black image" award or something like that a couple of weeks ago.  The only that award did is fuel stereotyping.

I like Kwame the best.  His weakness is not being assertive enough.  And picking Omarosa for his final team.  BAD, BAD judgement.  May cost him the job.

Erika is cute.  Not enough brains though.

she's a lazy liar - funny to watch her though - what happened to her "concussion"?

Kwame will win both for ratings and the fact trump and his advisors are stuck on higher ed as being too much of a factor in their decision btwn the two

bill should get it but won't ...

now the girls are selling what they did best early on, posing half neked for a magazine....

The first 4 weeks of the show this is all they did and I almost quit watching because of it.  I am glad The Donald finally pulled them aside and got in their grill about it.  But it didn't surprise me that they did this.

Actually, I think it was Carolyn The Ice Princess that got onto them about it first.  I think The Donald would've let them fail on their own eventually.

Omarossa has no ethics.  She's all about putting up a front - if you look important people will treat you like you're important.  The problem is, fronts only last so long.  If you can't support your image, you're going down.  Last night's ep was particularly telling - "what was that phone call about?" "Oh, it was nothing."

I question Kwame and Troy's ethics.  They were the two that did the basketball signing scam in front of Planet Hollywood early in the show's run.  Troy flat out lied to a customer during the penthouse booking task.

Kwame screwed up big-time by selecting Omarossa and Heidi to be on his team this week.  That's going to come back to bite him; Omarossa is full of crap and Heidi won't take crap from anybody.  That's a powderkeg no manager wants.  Kwame did good to bring Troy on board - Troy is loyal to Kwame and that's a good player to have around.

Bill did a better job picking his staff.  Amy has a proven track record and Katrina is no dummy.  Nick can sell, will push hard to succeed and won't do anything stupid so long as he has the proper motivation.  If I had been Kwame, I would've grabbed Nick instead of Omarossa.

When you gals are done powdering your noses, can you tell me who won survivor?

"reality" shows are making it to the BB, the end is near.

No, the end is near when they do an all-star Survivor and bring back past winners/near-losers.  Oh wait, they already are!

I guess it's easier to entertain the mases these days.

Talk about Lemmings.....the viewing public has traveled to the brink of the cliff.....should go over any minute.

No wonder Cable channels have become more popular.

History Channel, Discovery etc.

If The Apprentice is the best to offer...major networks are in trouble.

"The Apprentice" gives people a pretty good idea of what big business is all about:  teamwork, responsibility, marketing, sales, negotiating a business deal, accomplishing a goal in a set amount of time (i.e. quarterly results), maintaining a relationship with a buyer/vendor.

I think the two tasks being shown now are interesting behind-the-scenes stuff that most people may not think about.  I'm hoping that next week they give more time to how the golf tournament is being run.  The shots of Bill juggling phone calls really didn't tell me much about how things were being done.

Been in Management over 30 years.

The Apprentice is nothing but a stage for The Donald.

I don't recall selling Lemonade at anytime in my career in Management.
