Would it be possible to reduce or eliminate the fleet puff ack on this map.

1. it kills frame rate

2. it kills fun

3. it kills me

Just how would we do that when it is set at the "CT standard" of .7? I am just curious and would like to know how it could be done.

Thanks Storch!

We could remove both sides fleets alltogether since there are no CV's in them anyway. The only thing the current fleets are good for is beaching them next to a base and porking it.

The fleet flak hasn't reduced my frame rates in almost three years since I upgraded my computer.   Perhaps something else is up storch?  Misloaded video or sound driver?

The only way to remove FLAK AAA is to either change the map or get rid of the ships. :(

Thanks fork, I'll check out those items.  under the same topic today i killed a couple of allied ostwinds.  I just went to jump in one now and the axis doesn't have them.  is there an error?  they are not listed on the MOTD.

Removing the ships will not get rid of the "Puffy Ack." It comes from the land bases and factories as well.

Changing the ack setting will also not get rid of it. It will still be there but it will just lower the chances of you getting killed when it goes off around you.

Don't mistake the regular puffy ack for someone on one of the twin 5" DP guns on the Cruiser. A good shot can reach WAY out there and get someone. I have made kills at over 3.0 with the guns.

If you remove the fleets there will be almost no way to take an enemy base. Almost no way you can get a goon into a downed base with the 15 minute down times unless you are really organized.

Right, I forgot about those Jester.  The large airfields have the 37mm flak guns.

Ostie's on Allies and now Axis?  I'll even it out...

Puffy ack comes from the 88's at land targets.
