Dear curly,

You should have a toilet button on that impossible to read silly-ass clipboard so my pilot guy could run down those stupid stairs, cross the tarmac, fling open the door, and flush your piece of crap game down the pisser.

Your interface sucks. The radio is ridiculous. Your connects are laughable. You have some fairly decent graphics but those are offset by the fact that you have to shoot a little black dot. The flight model...HaHaHaHa.

Battle of Britain has AWESOME playability, smooth as silk graphics, and great connects. You can take your 30 bucks a month a shove it mate. Aces High On Crack lasted fifteen minutes on my PC. See ya later!!!

And we should give a rat's bellybutton about what you think because..... ?

Introduce yourself - post your real e-mail address, comminucate your discomfort,  but don't behave like a f____g idiot....

Only 12 year olds play that "evilone" roadkill thing on message boards...

There is an "evilone" in WB too,  at least he has enough courage to present his real name... and he's pretty smart too - unlike yourself....

Hey Evilone,
Do you have the "Cajones" to post your real Email and Name, NO. Mines here for all to see.

If you dont like it, fine do me a favor and delete the game with

FDISK.EXE and clean your HD of the game.

I dont come over to Simguild and rant like that even though FC Stunk, so please if you have constructive critisizem, fine post it.  But if you just want to rant and rave about your Vapor ware go somewhere else.

Evilone is a well known (but not always well liked :> ) regular in the FC community.  He is a member of the Lone Wolfs Squadron.  I believe that the reason he posted this is that Curly (not AKcurly+) went over to the FC bbs and posted a rant because some guy named dynamite danny made a post suggesting that people try out BoB.  I don't think Curly should have made that post, but I don't think Evil should have posted this one.

They have their sim, you have yours.  Some will play in both.  I don't think anyone would even laughingly suggest that FC makes any serious attempt at realism.  Its a simple, shallow learning curve game.  It does what it sets out to do pretty well.  But no, realism is not its top priority.  And thats ok.  Alot of the people don't have the time to expend countless hour to master a complex and realistic flight model.  Others may have reached a point where they are interested in exploring a more challenging FM and learning more about the realistic behavior of prop driven fighter aircraft.  The nice thing about capitalism is that between Fiterace, FC, WB, and Aces High, there is a continueum of complexity so they everyone can find a simulation that meets their needs best.  To each their own.

HEheh.  Now I'm gonna get flamed from both sides. ;>

Wab

Wab,

Darned if I dont agree with you 100% on everything you said.  My response, in its typical fashion, is probably out of line but some reply was warranted.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that everytime a learning curve is discussed it's described backwards. Time and effort spent learning is on the x-axis and amount accomplished on the y-axis. Since a more simple sim would be learned in less time (more accomplisehd for time invested) the slope of the learning curve would be steep.
So; easy sim, steep learning curve; complex sim, shallow learning curve.

Come on now, I would expect more from you technical types

Right Ruger...

how about time on the y axis (however uncoventional that may be) and skills gained on the x axis?

Then it doesn't look so much like a steep curve but a brick wall...

Cheers,
ph
