What a fantastic movie.

Worth the price of admision just to watch the A-26 and Catalina flying around.

It also has some fantasticaly funny moments as well. I am going to buy it ASAP, I rented it with netfix, having not seen it in years.

Well worth the time to see it again.

The part were Pete is diving on Als PBY to put out the engine fire, and Al says "Pete this is not a dog fight MAN!!" Cracks me up.

The opening seen were the PBY is getting water and almost runs down the fishermen is worth the price of admission.

Better yet when Al, gets has a firebomber drop his fire retardent load on him, lol.

the a-26 in that movie is parked at the billings airport. me and my son got to sit in the cockpit. i remember when i was a kid there were about a dozen a-26s at the airport used to fight wildfires. they still had the camo paintjobs from being used in vietnam.

Anyone know of any good sites or books on firefighting aircraft? Like how they modified the ETC?
