I thought about that Eagler...

But unless an equal number of people bet one way vs an equal number of people betting the other way, it wouldn't work out to a clean predetermined amount.

But... is 15 bucks more acceptable to wager?

Yeah...

If 10 people bet on Bush, and 5 on Kerry... and Bush wins... Obviously the 5 wouldn't be able to cover the 10.

So...

I'm going to guaruntee a 150% return if that happens.

If you bet $20 on Bush and he wins, you get $30 back, minimum.

And visa versa.

Hope that makes sense.

Do you even know what the word "irony" means?

I don't think I'm being obtuse. I think you're being an arse, for some reason.
Actually, I do know what the word means nash.

And no, it would not be ironic for a foreigner to bet on Tiger Woods in an international sport.  It is ironic for a foreigner to start a betting pool on the U.S. elections that are not in any way shape or form "international".

I'll take Kerry if I get some odds.

Figured most here would bet on Bush as he's still the one to lose it.

I'm probably gonna lose money but ain't gonna bet unless we make this interesting :D

I agree, Oregonians outside of the tri-counties area (Tri-Met is public transportation) are as insignificant as Canadians.

SaburoS - the odds are gonna take form in front of you in this post. I don't know what they're gonna be.

I have Eagler down for Bush.

Do I write you down for Kerry?

BTW Holden... is that Eugene, Corvalis or Salem?  I see you're south of the 45th which makes you a bit too californian.

If your water flows to the Willamette, (which includes the few communities you mention) or you can ride the light rail to OMSI, you're living in faux Oregon.

Now if you live near Grants Pass, Roseburg, Klamath Falls, Lakeview or John Day, and feed your transportation hay or diesel, then you are a true Oregonian.
