What's with the O.D. Green over Desert Armour Sand camo?

Most of thebody armor, if not all, that I have seen is green camo.... I donno why.

I was wearing green jungle boots in Desert Storm. We didn't have anything to go with out desert camos. They finally came out with light brown desert boots after the war started. But by then it was too late. It's all a matter of what you have to issue at the time. There isn't enough money to issue 2 sets of differant color gear to go with where your sent. But then the Special Ops guys do.

thats all that the military could provide at the time. its alot better then the old "Flak" vests that we used to wear. Now we have a chance of surviving a shot to the chest (now they aim at the face).
