Is the "spiral" spinner a part of the 109G-6 3d model (like the tulip used to be), or is it possible to change it?

These German aircraft (and the SBD-5) all look really, really great. Very impressive work.

Now, why are 75+% of the skins we're seeing players do, German?

It seems that HTC will quickly fill out the skins for the German aircraft while still lacking even a second skin for many other aircraft.

Now, I wish I could contribute, but my artisic skills on crap and I haven't got Photoshop. Unfortunately I cannot be part of the solution.

 Now that's an interesting question.

I don't think I'm biased(not saying you're saying we are! ;) ), but admittably I'm a LW plane fan and naturally when a skinning opportunity rises I choose to set my priorities on the planes I like.

Funny thing that you mention, is that a lot of other skinners seem to be LW fans too.

Tho' I'm working on the P-38L right now, and some very nice P-51D skins are here.. I don't seem to see many USAAF/RAF fans skinning things around.

It seems to suggest that artistic skills and leather-undies fetish is somehow closely linked :D

..

(ps. seriously though, I think it's because most of the new 3D models are the "old" LW planes. They've got the latest what Nate and Supe have to offer, and naturally look best with better skins.

Other problems such as irremoval skin surfaces or "wax coating" in USAAF planes tend to make skinning very difficult.. and since a lot of AH planes are still like that, I think us skinners are just trying to avoid those planes consciously..)

Batz,

Did you get my email attachment with the kill markings? BTW at the moment I can't see the new images but I think its on my end since they are loading really slowly.

Real nice Batz  If HTC makes that an official skin I think it will be my G6 favorite.

A few reasons why I chose the ac I want to skin

1. I am biased, I wont ever fly an Ami / RAF / VVS aircraft. With the exception of the 205, Zeke or Ki-61 the only planes I fly are German and the G-6 is my personal favorite.

2. There are more mustangs done then any other AC so far. So why not ask the mustang skinners why they havent chosen a spit or a jug etc...

3. Almost all my references are for German Aircraft and I have no interest in building a library filled with planes I care nothing about.

4. Currently the majority of the updated models are German. The Ami / RAF skinners maybe waiting until their favorite planes get updated before they invest the effort. Although I have seen a few Spits done.

This is only my 2nd "skin" with the exception of a few AH1 skins.

My first was a JG 2 d9.

I was in JG2 in AH for a long while, then JG 53. If it was possible to do a good JV44 "Platzschutzstaffel" D-9 I would.

Reschke,

Yes I got your email and I replied to it. The screens above are loaded on the "Picture Hangar". They load fine for me.

GS,

I need to fix the "high-mount" oil fill cap. The particular G-6 above didn't have the larger 50-liter oil tank. Some G-14s had the larger tank but not the G-6 above.

Weird I didn't get a reply on the email the other day but then again my AV program has decided to really tick me off. I see the pictures fine here at the office and the skin looks real nice. Glad you got it and I hope it helped some.
