No gamma, brightness or contrast adjustment

Very strange...go into my windows utilities (right click on desktop) or direct though my video card utility (Asus 3800 TNT2) adjust either the desktop settings or the 3d card settings, then go into to game and it's own default settings take over.  Unfortunately they are way to dark rendering this game unplayable for me.
I don't see a AH ini file in which to modify any setting either.

Anyone else have this problem with the TNT2 or other cards or know of a solution?

At times the ground and scenery seems very dark bacause the sun is very low in the sky.  Once the sun rises it is very easy to see objects on the ground.  If you fly around the same time each night try a different time on the weekend, (+ or - 6 hours), and see if the problem persists.

I have an Asus v3800 TNT2 and had similar problems to the ones you are experiencing.  It's a function of the server clock affecting how fast the sun moves, (take a look at the clock on your dashboard).

It is being looked at by the crew at HTC.

So everyone else experiences the same degree of light/darkness depending on time and no external controls are allowed?

You can also check out different positions of the sun offline.  Open up the text buffer and type ".time XX XX Y", where XX XX is the time you want to try (24 hour military-type designation, hours and minutes) and the Y is the time multiplier (Y=1 is "normal" speed).
