This is quite a fun scenario, held every Sunday for the next 3 weeks.

A lot of registered pilots (AHEM) have been no-shows, so walk-ons are welcome. IMHO walk-ons have been a great part of the success of the scenario so far.

However if you wish to walk-on, PLEASE read the website http://www.fortunecity.com/underworld/mission/1265/id33.htm so that you are familiar with the rules and the concept of the scenario.

Also please show up early. This means before 2:45pm Eastern. That way we can get things organized and get the missions started on-time.

At the risk of agreeing with Funked, Busc really does a good job with these. Through some miscommunication unfortunately we were some of the no-shows today, which given his effort and scenario last week is more our loss than his. I have every intention to be there through the rest

Agreed, I have had a blast through these first two frames. Busc has put a lot of work into this. I'd like to see people have more patience with him and keep in mind he's probably got at least 5 questions he's trying to answer in addition to the one you have.

I think today pretty much went to the axis side from what I could tell. (BTW, I like the idea of each side joining up in whatever historic squad you are portraying) We flew as JG27 and had the sky full of 109's. There were at least 25 rolling at the same time. We immediately climbed to 24,500 feet (max alt cap was 25k) and headed towards the allieds. We swooped in on a group of spits as my Flightleader, duma, discoed. He appointed me Flightleader over RW (Yikes!). We had the low spits somewhat outnumbered, and managed to kill them all fairly quickly. We grabbed altitude Northeast looking for some more allieds, but couldn't find anymore. We landed our group while only losing a couple of planes.

I touched down with 2 kills and an assist. It was a great day for the mighty German Luftwaffe.

How do I sign up for this? Do I have to belong to a squad? I'd like to register vic just walk on so I know where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to do.

Heheh Hblair that sounds about right. We only had 12 fighters (doh). Our bombers did blow the crap out of A37 though.

Now tell us about the second frame, from the Panzers' perspective.

I think we did a lot better in the 2nd frame. I was just a walk-on for this one, so I don't really know what happened in the 1st. We beat the crap outta the 202's and eliminated all the tanks. Funked seemed pleased,

, but I guess we'll wait for an oficial AAR from either Busc or Funked to find out what really happened.

It was a total blast, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Glad to hear you all are having a good time.

Busc put in a lot of
work, time and effort. I was looking forward to the first event when two
days prior to it my system crashed. Unfortunately I did not get the
e-mails he sent to the C.O.'s prior and there was a break down of
communications, (long story). I am still unable to fly and was out of
town this past weekend. I have explained this to Busc, but not to
others outside of my squad.

My squad for various reasons choose not to participate further. I
for one was looking forward to the event, but more important, I respect my
squad mates and there reasons for stepping down.

I would like to see more people get enthused about this scenario. This is one thing I loved about Warbirds.

BUSC has done a lot of hard work organizing this thing. Would be nice to see 100+ pilots in the Special Events arena Sunday.

The Scenarios are MUCH more fun than MA play; you're part of something big, you have one life and SQUAD tactics are employed. Just loved swooping down, all 109'sm on poor Spit V's, killing half of them on first pass, extending, swooping down again to finish the job.

Someone got pretty upset that day (something about getting gangbanged) but getting gangbanged happens to both sides, so fair enough to me
