A question for HiTech...
« on: April 21, 2004, 08:45:09 AM »
I was wondering if there were plans to expand the aircraft set in AHII beyond the AH1 set or if you were more likely to focus on other vehicles - i.e. GVs or the oft quoted "submarine"?

Adogg, Except for the last year, we normaly produce some new aircraft about every 3 - 4 months. Working on AHII has interupted this because we had to go back and rework the entire aircraft set, along with lots of other items.

Once AHII is release work on new aircraft will continue.

Awesome ... I realized that AH1 is now static and the Beta was obviously a priority...just curious about future plans.

Thanks again.

I also understand that HTC has improved their modelling tools/procedures so that it will be less time consuming to make new models in AH2.

Hi hitech. Just wondering about this qestion i have.

You say that it takes only days, nights to spit out a new model with textures from fester posts about the b27.

I am just wondering, what is the largest time consuming proccess of making a new plane avaiable to aces high flyers?

I dont think thats exactly what HT said.

The level of dificulty between producing a finished 3d game model and a skin is night and day. It's not that I don't belive that there are not any players capable, but just puting the spec's required is a significant undertaking.

When ever we have thought about it, we have come to the conlusion that it would take just as much time trying to use someone else model vs building it ourselfs.

So it is none of your above for your resones cit.

yeah I think new planes are desparately needed given the fact that some players are to the point where they will build them themselves to see them in the game!!!!! lol

Fester was my in game name until September 2013
