Humble? HiTech? Kiss and Make up?

I am not gonna reading your non-sense ...

You said it better than I ever could...nonsense is all I've seen from you...

I'm certainly not a victim of anything and this isn't/wasn't a whine. I've run my share of companies...good and bad...I've aways appreciated the customer or client who took the time to tell me why I was fired...some times I've even learned a bit from it. I simply responded to Hitech and voiced my displeasure. I didnt respond to or encourage that thread or the GV thread to continue. As a business man I've come to appreciate the value of my customers over time...it's easier to keep em then replace them. It's a lesson that can be hard to learn and often has to be relearned.

As an FYI AH2 is envisioned as a new came with little or no crossover expected amonst existing players...yes there will be a "classic arena" but the game is geared toward a new generation of players...not the current subscriber base. The great thing about capitalism is that there is always someone waiting to pick up the ball...Air Warrior lost appreciation for its customers, so did Warbirds....and the customers left them. Some business lessons are worth remembering....instead of reliving.

Well you are wrong. You can search the Ah2 forums and read exactly what HT has said but Ah2:Classic will be the primary arena/game with the same game play as the main.

The mission theater or Ah2:ToD will be mission based with some sort of rps mixed in. AI will supplement bombers and gvs.

You have a lot perceptions based on nothing, as I said go search the Ah2 forums.

Yep, it,s HiTechs game, think about this. Yes we are customers but but like any business, he has final say. we can either choose to stay or go------you dont think they are giving you the best they can then go, or quit the whining and enjoy the game. I don't think you can get this enjoyment for this price or havent you bought a ticket to a show, baseball game lately..... just my 2 cents worth, on with the whine:rolleyes:

Customer Service?
« Reply #37 on: April 25, 2004, 10:12:05 AM »
I think the customer service is what it should be. They keep the game up, try to correct server problems, billing issues, ect..
Technical support is really quite good in my opinion, as i have had several problems with keyboard/vox, and they got back to me in 24 hours or less (weekdays).
Not sure what the original post was, but sounds like it was one the should have been posted in the bug posts, or sent to Hitec as a personal message, not out in the open.
You guys are right also, he owns the business he makes the rules. As a customer you can choose to follow them or as is your right you can leave. Happy flying!!

This is the most foolish statement I've seen on this forum in a long time...

lets pick it apart peice by peice shall we...

but the game is geared toward a new generation of players...

This struck me as especially moronic. So what you are saying here humble is that Hitech and Co no longer wish to keep its current  player base? They want to replace their current subscribers with newer ones? Do you honestly beleive the crap you say?

Being very careful not to take what Humble said out of contect we need to read on. Taking one sentence at a time is very dangerous. When they are all put together the true idiocy comes together.

Quote
not the current subscriber base

And here we have the remaining part of his "impactful statement". Put those two lines together and we have idiocy at its finest. You cant honestly beleive for one single moment that HiTech; with the future introduction of AH2, plans on losing his current players... or do you?

Here is one from another post you threw up like a fool...

Quote
When this game started the "customer" was important

Can you show me how this has changed? I dont see how you can say this and continue to remain credible. You really havent' shown any evidence to support you claim. Hear say is a hell of alot different from fact.

Is this statement spawned from the fact that HiTech really isnt on line all that often lately? I can probably make a good assumption for saying that its probably due to the simple fact that he along with the rest of his staff is working day in and day out to complete AH2. It doesnt take a rocket scientist too see HiTech and his staff constantly addressing concerns, questions, bugs and everything else in the AH2 forums. Thats got to tell you something I hope. Not to mention the fact that they are also in every other forum both monitoring and answering question after question in regards to AH1.

If you have been around that long I think you can see that their customer support is second to none in regards to any on line game. I would go as far to say its second to none period...

You mentioned that you had a few of your own businesses. Were you responsible for several thousand investors and customers on a daily basis? Because basicly thats what we are when we pay out 15 a month... If this is the case then maybe you have some right to critcize.

Sigh.....

1st, This "thread" wasn't ment to be ugly or anything...in fact I didn't even start it. I didnt expect my "passing" to generate any notice at all...i'm pretty much a non entity here anyway.

That being said I've tried to respond to what resulted....

So...

1st

I wish nothing but the best to any and all involved with this game as players, employee's or owners...I'm simply not going to support a product I dont feel treats me as a customer with a minimal level of respect.

2nd

I'm amazed how much some of you seem to distort public record...or don't you really read and comprehend. I'll stand behind my various comments etc...as for the intent of AH2 its also public record...the stated primary arena is/was intended to be a "tour of duty" arena with an "AH classic" arena also enabled for the current player base...this is in multiple interviews done on the subject.

Since you took the time to post Morpheous I'll give you the curtesy of an answer...

1st find and read the interviews regarding the vision/motivation for AH2...

You need to break down what you copied...

How important is the upcoming release to the current subscriber base?...

How many have bothered to fly it?
How many are worried about PC performance?
How many really care about the FM changes?
How many really are worried about fuel burn and such?

Now how many are upset and worried about lag and other issues in the MA?
How many would like to have New planes and Vehicles?
How many would prefer to have other maps done by Aces high vs suffer the pizza map type creations of others?
How many would like to see GV and other ongoing issues resloved?

Now none of the above has anything to do with why I left....thats simple...I don't like to be treated disrespectfully and I feel I was. There is no need to make it anything bigger than it is. It's still easily the best game in it's niche in the market and it will continue to be for at least another couple of years....so what....since I dont "feel good" about supporting it I simply won't.

As for my qualifications Harvard business school has a "club" for individuals who have built a business with a net value of $1,000.000.00 before reaching the age of 40...I was invited 3 different times for three different businesses...not that matters in this context...I'm not an internet business type...I'm simply looking at it from a case study viewpoint. Put this out in any MBA program as a case study and you'd get back exactly what I'm saying +/- 15%...it's simply "business 404"

As for base $'s 15 x 5,000=$75,000x12=$900,000.00

Thats still an awful small business in the scheme of things...however it's certainly a great achievment to bootstrap out of your garage in a couple of years.

Whats funny is I've probably been more vocal as a supporter of the people and the product than 90% here. The GV post is really the 1st "negative" thread I ever started.

Anyway,

I appreciate the thought you put into your post and simply have a different viewpoint.

that being said it doesnt serve any purpose to continue this....at least for me.

God speed and good flying to you all <>

PS If you happen to think of it, Put a couple bucks in the Pat Tillman memorial fund.
