This flying F4F-3 Wildcat arrived at the Museum of Flight yesterday and will go on temporary display in the new fighter wing(which opens June 6th). There's nothing like the feeling of a WWII piston engine vibrating through your body.

I'm responsible for the store's inventory as well as all the American Fighter Aces inventory. It does have its perks with all the planes and aviation personalities that I see/meet, but it's still work.

so I go flying this morning.  I taxi out to the active at ellington and pass between rows of f16s, f5s and f18s.  I hold for a nasa t38 that taxis past.  Astronaughts wave and I continue on.  I hold short of the active for another nasa t38 to thunder off in front of me then watch the super guppy do touch and gos 100ft in front of my plane.  I get clearance, roll out and take off then look to my left and see 3 apaches off my wing.

I have never felt so small in all my life, the 152 just felt uber tiny today.
