Judging by the HL on the side of the Spit, it must belong to the 31st FG. Knowing this, it must be at San Severo, Italy during early 1944 when the 31st FG was converting from the Spitfire IX to the P-51B.

Isabell 3, a p51 that was flown in the 357th FG by a Kiwi pilot Flt Lt. Jack Clelland.
