Honestly  Grun I have thought about it. But I still lean towards fear of what Kerry will do to the economy. He want to tax gas and raise taxes.

I like having a job...

So if the facts get in the way.. just change the facts.

Just because he is not a good public speaker does not mean he is dumb.

Well yeah GtoRA if you take away invading another country without any back up plan for the occupation, without any support from your allies... If you take away agitating for war by manipulating intelligence or outright lying about it. If you take away promoting a tax cut during a  time of war.... then your right.. he ain’t that dumb..

It don’t make him intelligencia  either sheesh

What’s this I hear about Kerry wanting to raise fuel taxes?.. Did he legislate for it like Dick Chaney did?

Maybe we'll get a more eloquent republican president in 2008.

For years I was a registered independant.  I occcasionally voted for a dem. like bob graham.  billyjeff and his bs 1994 invasive guncontrol legislation knocked me over into the republican camp.  twostep johnny would make billyjeff look like a schoolboy lost in the woods.  i seriously doubt we will see another dumocrat administration in a generation.  and with the exception of the liberal stalemate in the senate i believe we have the gov't we deserve.  the obstuctionist libsenate has only made it worse for their party.  it is clearly way out of touch with mainstream America.  i would not be surprised to see significant gains in the senate and in the house with the ouster of RINO specter in Pa. as a bonus.  then the great President Bush 43 (yea) will be able to load up the courts with people who have the correct ideology and we can return America to the pre "great society" nation we once were.  And can be again.

Bite your tongue, kiddo.  It's neither sad nor filthy.  And, it's something that most of us would gladly die to sustain.  You're working too hard to be a bad boy, Grun. :)

Sometimes you get to vote for a candidate you really like - someone you believe will make a difference.  And sometimes, you have to vote not so much for a candidate, rather to vote against a candidate.

All of us come ready-equipped with a set of prejudices that prevent us from thinking.  Maybe Bill Clinton so disgusted you, that you despise the thought of voting democrat.  Or maybe you remember the excesses of RN and are repelled by the thought of voting republican.  Maybe your father beat it into your head that all independents are untrustworthy ... I dunno .. I'm sure you get the idea.

Just sit down and clearly think through what each candidate represents.   That reminds me of the Adelai Stevenson story --- while on the stump, an enthusiast shouted "Atta boy, Adelai, every thinking American will vote for you" to which Adelai shouted back, "but I need a majority."

Cool! If I'd known I could get an honest government that puts the people before their own agenda, I'd have stopped voting a long time ago.:D

I think the fact that the more left wing socialist canadians on this board hate Bush is reason enough to vote for him.

Hard to go wrong with any oppossing view to theirs.
