Later all, have been fun but
« on: June 28, 2001, 05:11:00 PM »
Tonight I will try to switch from my P350/128RAM/TNT2 offereing a generous 3 to 14 FPS....

To a 1.3G/248RAM/TNT2... The problem is that I have no idea how to assemble this mother board and put everything in a new case and conect everything to everything.

So if I'm not back up late tonight, consider that the whole thing blew up on my pretty face and I will be back online terrorising the non P47 believers ... heu... later... when my $10/h as a flight instructor will allow me to buy a new new mother board.

Emotion...kisskiss...hughug. :)

Good luck Frenchy.  :)

WOhoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had an orgasm!!!!!!

Muahahahah!!!! I don't really know what I did but looks like it worked. Didn't had to reinstall anything. I plugged my stuff wheer it sounded logical, read the notice for the jumpers config... guess all the rest and hop!

Looks like all is working. I went offline ... WOW ... wwoooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww.. .

Unbelievable. I hit 25 above a big base when I used to have 5-7. On a CV I can take off or land with 30 FPS instead of 3!!!!

And when I shoot my guns, I used to have my FR going down to 5 ... no more.

I can't wait those vulch fest near bases now hehehe

Woooohooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

re-wohoooo!!!!

Muahahaha... BRB... going to drink!

<ty for ur prayers hehehe it worked>

Frenchy,

If you replace the TNT2 with a Geforce (any) or equalivent you'll see a good jump beyond that. Of course, 25 FPS under load is certainly playable.

Hehe, you just reminded me of the good old days of flying AH on a 225 Mhz Cyrix with 64MB RAM and a Voodoo 3. I flew in 800x600 at a steady 7-10 fps. Heavy combat or other intensive stuff often brought me down even lower. Firing the guns generally brought me down to about 2, maybe 3 fps. Really helped as far as honing my aim! I needed a reeeeaaaaaal steady hand to stay on target.

Then I upgraded to a 600 Mhz Duron and 128 MB RAM. Still have the Voodoo 3, but YOW! My Low framerate is 25, except when flying through smoke. And I run in 1280x1024  :D.
