And this rag just ouzes with impartiality?  I cant find a single story that does not have some sort of right wing agenda accompanied with an extremely "selectively focused" view of the facts.

Pure dissembling...........

The idea that there is some sort of left wing media conspiracy that would hide (world wide) such stuff as this article alludes to is quite frankly ridiculous................

.......................in fact nearly as ridiculous as it is concerning that a large body of folk actually read and and give this rag a  modicom of credibility................

How about these photos of a MiG-25 found buried in the sand.

If they can hide 70-foot long Mach 3 jet fighters in the sand, why not anything else?

Guys...

As you know, ardent Bush Supporter here...

But don't you think if they found the so-called "Smoking Gun" the President himself would schedule a press conference and say "We got 'em".

Think about the political boon for him it would be.

He's not going to leave something like this to Newsweek in an election year.

If they can find 70-foot long Mach 3 jet fighters in the sand they surely can find WMD, or not, or ...?

there is so much empty space to bury something there that it would take decades to find something buried if there wasnt an eye witness. everything that we found was due to someone that saw something. could something be out there? possibly so.

I think the point is missed, we wanted Iraq.  we took Iraq. who knows maybe you will be next.  who? you! yes you!  WMD be damned we need the parking spaces for our next excursion into the region.  I'm sure the fossil fuels are a nice perk as well.

Some of you guys are so naive.  we are finally on the path of world conquest.

Personally I'm amazed that BBC, CNN and FOXnews missed this ground breaking news from middle-east.

"The Iraqis admitted they had made 3.9 tons of VX," a powerful nerve gas, but claimed they had never weaponized it. The U.N. inspectors "felt they had more. But where did it go?" The Iraqis never provided any explanation of what had happened to their VX stockpiles.

What does 3.9 tons of VX look like? "It could fit in one large garage," the official says. Assuming, of course, that Saddam would assemble every bit of VX gas his scientists had produced at a single site, that still amounts to one large garage in an area the size of the state of California.

But what are "stockpiles" of CW agents supposed to look like? Was anyone seriously expecting Saddam to have left behind freshly painted warehouses packed with chemical munitions, all neatly laid out in serried rows, with labels written in English? Or did they think that a captured Saddam would guide U.S. troops to smoking vats full of nerve gas in an abandoned factory? In fact, as recent evidence made public by a former operations officer for the Coalition Provisional Authority's (CPA's) intelligence unit in Iraq shows, some of those stockpiles have been found - not all at once, and not all in nice working order - but found all the same.

Funny, when faced with facts that you can clearly find from other sources that this article quotes, they *still* attack the source.  Stick your heads back into the sand, boys.

Whose being naive? "finally"?

When has the U.S. not been on the path of world conquest?

Manifest Destiny. Sea-to-shining-sea. Cold War requirements for clandestine operations are over, we can now openly invade anyone we want any time we want. My question is why have we stopped after only taking Iraq and Afghanistan? Iran has oil and has caused us almost as many problems as Iraq. We have reunited Germany, what about Korea? I'm not worried about the rest of the Middle East, Israel will handle that ;)
