There are now a total of 92 nuklear bombs "lost at sea"

I could not atm find the original list of 32 incidents that the DOD released in 1980, but here is one:

usualy the symbol on a flag mean something, wonder what
the 2 blue and one yellow stripe meaning?

I.e the german flag represents "past, present and future"
of course gold=future ;)

And Yeager, know the sentence from the movie project peacemaker?:
"...i have no fear of the man who have 100 nuclear bombs,
i have fear of the man who wants just 1 nuclear bomb"

or something similar ;)

Apparently they are suppose to represent the Tigris, the Euphrates and the Kurdish people.

Interesting to know how many Iraqi's from the governing council were consultated about the flag. I heard it was none.

Though more insulting imho to the Iraqi people is the US deciding on the new flag when there is still so much going wrong in Iraq.

If we make Iraq a state it will just make Puerto Rico try harder.  Then it will be the whole 'friggin' Third World.  No thanks....

Sorry Thrawn my mistake, I got that the wrong way around. It was the fact that the US hand picked leaders of the council decided on the flag with no consultation to the Iraqi people. What they should do is narrow down to say 6 designs and then present that to the poeple to decide on which one. A referendum of such when they first vote for their new leader.

Since the council is seen as just a voice for the Bush administration by Iraqi civilians any decision they ever make will never be respected as their own.

I just think it's insulting to be designing a flag and for the council to be spending such time of a trivial thing when there are so much more stressing work to be done in Iraq at this time.
