Transparency and brightness toggle for gunsights
« on: May 07, 2000, 09:35:00 PM »
I am seriously impressed with Yeagers gunsights.

but HTC need to give us a slider for the Gunsight brightness.

we already have this transparency brightness effect when we change head positions.

now we need it for when aligned with the gunsight when the sight is to opaque or "bright"

maybe give it a slider like trim where 1 key increases to full opacity and another makes it more transparent?

or just have one button that slides through transparency settings in a loop?

I love these historic gunsights but somtimes they are just to bright and hard to see the target through
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

And please a way to switch between A-A and A-G sights, at least on the ground attack type planes.

It'd be really cool if the actual gunsight brightness would be influenced by your plane's attitude to the sun, just like in real life.

I agree. The Revi-16B has the crosses intersecting in the center of the sight, unlike the 12C which only has the bottom line hitting the center. So the target is probably going to get obscured once in a while. I'll have to try it out today. If it's possible to adjust the brightness or transparency like Citabria said, that would be a very nice feature to have.
