I agree with Nuke, ebay brokering can earn you some cash, but you need money to start with...

some mmos actually have exchange rates between the virtual money and real money. One that comes to mind is a game called secondlife. You can exchange the virtual currency there for real US dollars, i think its something like $5000 virtual dollars for 25 real dollars.

A friend of mine made $3000 and bought himself a new computer by selling high-level Everquest items on ebay.

Do tell. If my wife cleans anymore, I'll have to replace the carpet. She needs something like this. Me too, I need a color lazer printer.

I was going to do the garage sale today, but couldn't find the time (blame Gordons in the plastic bottle.) Plus, a few items I had sold on Ebay last week, and I'll be damned, got top dollar. (WWII books I had $5 in, $30 in the good)

I often buy on Ebay and then end up reselling on my local newsgroups and newspapers to people who are just behind the internet curve.

Especially when it comes to hobbies like camera equipment, you can often make a good return and have fun while you're at it.

Heck i can buy stuff from Canadian stores for less off Ebays then if i walked in.

Weird. The things I want most just go for insane prices on ebay. You can buy and then resell?! After trying for instance to buy CH pedals, they actually, and I shat you not, sold at or above retail; used- + shipping.

I'm no ebay expert, but what I have found at garage sales, brings good return. I'm looking to sell stuff everyday though, I think someone mentioned their wife did it as a good biznus. I'd be very interested in how that works in that aspect.
