i could care less for post-ww2 setups, but if you had read the inital request about 2-3 weeks ago, you'd see quite a few CTers, including myself, saying that we should run this for artik.

that thread is not to be confused with artik's other "post-ww2 setups" thread.

sooooo....

all in all, ...

remember, it's the pilots not the planes that make or break a setup, usually.

Lose it forever? Heh. Gimme a fat break ya crybaby. No, keep it. Hell, run it once a month just to cause severe dehydration in TheBug. ;)

Now .... more seriously.

The are 52 fuggin weeks in the fuggin year. Go ahead ... count `em. I'm pretty darn sure I'm right. I believe the anniversary Artik wanted to commemorate with this here setup only comes around during one of the aforementioned 52 weeks. The Finnish one as well. Running a "Pearl Harbor week long surprise attack" would be as well. I don't think too many weeks have been specifically set aside for such things. That's three. I doubt anyone here could add three more. Even if they could that leaves 46 fuggin weeks left in the fuggin year.

Now this week's setup ain't everyone's cup o' tea. Well it ain't as if this is anything new here. Next week's won't be either. Or the next. Or the one after that. Or the next one. Anyone sensing a pattern there?

Now, in spite of the efforts of some of my esteemed collegues of the CT community in trying to drum up support to start banning whatever makes them cranky ... casting into the abyss their current pet peeve setup (out of a myriad of such), why don't we just play the damned thing through (or sit out of it in a huff, flying the MA or whatever) and having done such, leverage the good will created thusly to request something more to our liking? NO?

There's all types here. Some of us are even flexible and can learn to enjoy most any setup ... if we try (versus cry). :D :aok

I haven't flown this set up, but I was intrigued by the 109-G6 and Mustangs vs the Spit Vs and Spit XIVs. I'm surprised it was the G-6 and wasn't the G-10 though.

What's all the complaining about?

Actually it is mostly
REAF Spitfire Mk V, C205 vs IAF Avia S-199 (sub 109g6), Spitfire Mk IX

The limited planes are:
RAF Spitfire Mk XIV (that had been based in Egypt) vs IAF P-51D

So you can see that planeset is quite ballanced - and based on hitorical aircrafts.
