Its great to see another historical based film coming out but Tom Cruise is far too old for the role. Besides, couldn't they have found a native RAF flyer to base the movie on?

Unfortunately, I fear this movie will be another Pearl Harbor, insulting and completely Hollywood.

I dont know what 'cruising' Tom is good for. But definitely not for war movies.;)

ummm.... one problem with using a "native RAF flyer", Cruise is playing an American Volunteer for the RAF...

LAstly, they have are calling for a lot of hardware, and what they are asking for is very specific and very accurate to the times.  Hopefully the context and accuracy is good!

Battle of Britain....already made in 1968.

Starred Robert Shaw etc.  Was a great movie.  Lots of original

aircraft.  I'm afraid this new more modern Battle of Britain will

be a let down.

I know there are some (UGH!) Spanish built 109s around flying, but it looks like there may only be one flying E model in a museum in Arizona:

as far as i am aware, that short clip is nothing to do with the tom cruise film.  Its an advertisement for an IL2 film i think, with interviews and film clips from the documentary that was on british tv called "Spitfire Ace".
