Interesting..

I never want to think im afraid of anything.
It shows a lack of control.
But sometimes its just natural to be afraid.
Like when someone jumps up behind you and yells.

Ahhh Control.
I once had your mindset
where you are now I once was and where I am now you one day shall be.

Being afraid doesnt show a lack of control. Fear is normal.
Where self control comes into play is how you deal with that fear.
Even Patton once said "Any man who tells you he is not afraid in combat is either a fool or a GD liar"

Being an 11 years and counting Cancer survivor I know what fear is all too well.
Among other things I learned about life during that experiance
That is also when I learned what true fear(read terror) was.
That was also when I learned that fear can be dealt with.
You can learn how to deal with it and not to let it overwhelm you.

Having gone through that experiance I've also learned there are very few things to actually fear. But the ones there are can be dealt with through self control.
And that is where true control lies
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

You're probably an introvert (like myself). You probably won't ever like it. Just learn to deal with it. Quite often, I just go somewhere afterwards and sleep. Public speaking leaves me drained.

How long are your walks?
A mile or two as the crow flies?
