What do you like most about Aces High?

The creakin noises ya P51 makes in a 500MPH bounce, the bark of the 6 50 cals, the ghostly tracers, and the watchin them chunks o' lead crash into the nme plane and tear off their vert stab and watch them do a gracefull flutter into the ground from 10k.

Not much not to like i am well and truly addicted. best  on line and offline sim i have every played on.

Big thanks to HITECH and CREW for there work on this truly great sim Thanks to you.

and all the people who fly in here for the help and hrs of killing me which i am still enjoying hopefully going to turn that around some day soon.

Graphics are good. Fighting is intense. Relaxed atmosphere in the arenas...

Aces High must be sooo great for the new ones to online sim/games.

Silly things about it are what really put the icing on the cake for me -

The way you have to actually land properly - sideslips and flaps, bounce if you drop it in too hard.

RTB'ing with an empty buff in a wonderful sunset.

Trying to keep a fully loaded Lanc flying as you drag it off the end of the runway (no I won't use auto take off either).

Lots of different things...

And whats even better is it's run by real people you can talk to and who talk to you as a person not just an account number.

For me this is a unique ... errr.. product is not the right word ..... errr... experience.

Seeing those hit sprites thorugh your gunsight is also the dogs whatsits   .

This is the only place I can discuss the differences between planes, engines, guns and pilots and not be talking to myself :-)

I started out on AW dos way back in the day, and my how things have changed. This game above any other I've tried (AW, Fighter Ace, WB) emphasises both the technical AND tactical aspects of aerial combat. (In other words, flying the stick and pulling G will get u toasted!) I still die often and usually learn something new when I do.

Also, the message threads are very interesting at times

Nothing to dislike. I get very few to no warps AH runs fine on my system. Best FM I've flown in 7 years of these things(relative to my experience in flying real planes in RL), skill level of most in the arena, and last but certainly not least.... 3D COCKPITS!!!!!

-The Graphics, but we need the night back
-The Community, it is full of diversity
-The 3D cockpit, makes for a higher immersion level
-The vehicles, adds some spice to the same old hum drum of an online sim

Formations !

I just dig flying in formation with REAL people not the wonder-form-AI-John-Wingman-out-of-the-box-programms  

That and the interaction with REAL people got me hooked to online sims and AH is the one with the best graphics, flight modell and community i've been in so far!

2.) Aircraft selection and FM
3.) our squad night <G> truly the only time any number of Bishops organized  <G> ( if ya could get two Bish on the same page we'd be dangerous <G> )
4.) Oh forgot!  Less connection problems in
    AH then any other online flight sim I've
    participated in!
