You pick the policy, it's the same.

I suppose.
the problem with that is that on this issue he seems genuinely sorry-  thats good

but on worker safety  he seems genuinely set to do more damage to worker safety standards.

he seems to genuinely motivaated to do as much damage to over-time regs as possible.

on taxes he seems genuine in his need to screw the working class to the benefit of the wealthy

he seems to genuinely think our jobs going overseas is a good thing.

and he doesn't seem so genuine when justifying this war.  he sells this war like a used car salesman.

I'm just saying that he seems to be on the level on this one issue.  many Bush haters seem to take anything and try to twist it into being bush's fault.  IMO that is not only wrong and unfair, it's also unnecessary, since he gives us plenty of legitimate ammo to justify throwing him out on his ass.  far and away the worst president in my lifetime, but so far I see no evidence to pin this one issue on him.

A sitting popular wartime presidents approval rating is 47 percent. Wow, just wow.

I suppose it depends on which poll you read:

Quote
Six months before Election Day, President Bush receives the support of 44 percent of voters and Kerry 41 percent in the national poll of registered voters conducted for Fox News by Opinion Dynamics Corporation (search). The new results are within the poll's margin of error, as has been the case in Fox News poll head-to-head presidential matchups for more than two months.

Even with the continuing violence against U.S. troops in Iraq and new evidence of Iraqi prisoner abuse, support for the decision to go to war is unchanged from early April. Half of Americans think going to war was the right thing for the U.S. to do, while just over four in 10 think it was wrong.

The poll finds the president's job approval rating hovering in about the same spot since mid-February. Currently 49 percent of Americans approve and 43 percent disapprove of Bush's job performance. His personal ratings are similar, with 50 percent having a favorable view of the incumbent and 42 percent an unfavorable view.

Kerry's personal ratings have dipped, and he continues to be unknown to many Americans. Today, the public's impression of the senator is evenly divided (39 percent favorable and 40 percent unfavorable). A month ago it was 43 percent favorable and 35 percent unfavorable. Almost 20 percent are still too unfamiliar with Kerry to voice an opinion.

But ask Mr. Dewey how accurate polls can be  ;)

Either way, I may not be happy with how this administration has handled the post-war Iraq situation, but it'll be a cold day in Hell before I vote for Kerry.  He may be draping himself in the "moderate" flag for now, but his voting record puts him left of Teddy.  And that is not spin, that is fact.  I shudder to think of what the US court system would look like after he's done appointing judges.  A group that's likely to include more than one Supreme in the next 4 years.  Not to mention the fact that regardless of how many pheasants he shoots, he voting record will always be anti-gun.

A sitting wartime president who has an EXTREMLY uncooporative minority party in congress that has blocked ANY issue good or bad.  Who inherited a recesion that has done an AWSOME job of turning the economy around.

I dont agree with Bush all the time but nowadays it seems the the dems care more about hateing bush than pushing their agenda.  AND DONT BRING UP CLINTON AND MONICA  as most of your libral cohorts say he's not the president now.

Cmon....sitting....wartime.  These dont matter to any libral....they just hate him.

How can a minority party block anything they want to do? Sure they fillibuster, but you can only do  that on so many issues. Bush has been able to pass everything that he has wanted. Besides a few judge nominations.

"they just hate him."

Bush has become a hated president by many the old fashioned way.  He's earned it.

besides a few judges??????? try almost all of them.  And yes they did a filibuster all night long to prevent them from being nominated.  They even went so far as to block minoritys because they could loose some of their minority base with conservative black/latino jusges on the bench.

Any time bush does somthing good Tom Daschel gets on the air and says...."this is too little too late"

The dems dont want to do anything to "BETTER" America except to block what ever Bush does.

So you admit that he was able to pass everything he has wanted to then. Because all you have to do is look at the bloated budget.

They filibustered because they did not like the fact that the judges had no record. Which is a big deal. And i am sorry that you cannot comprehend how passing every bill a president and congress wants relates to the deficit. Maybe you should have gone to one of those america hateing colleges and learned ya up some.

WRONG!.....there is memos that were leaked/hacked from the democrat party saying that they were afraid if monority judges were elected they could loose some of their base....does anyone else remember this.

I've been to college  I can read "good"  I see bushes and kerry's numbers flip flopping more than kerry's opinion.

Sitting/wartime has nothing to do with it....when you have libs spewing nothing but HATRED out there the numbers will reflect.  I have to day I dont agree with the deficit....I dont agree with the whole immagration thing....I dont agree with the medicar bill....I didnt want him to "bail out" the airlines after 9/11.  I'm not a BUSH fanboy by any means but if the alternative is Kerry than Bush is a shining star.
