Thinking about it for a sec....

That guy could quit right now, run as an independant, have about 5 cents for an ad budget and still win.

wtf, huh?

It's a nice thought, but the man probably wouldn't survive his term.

See my above post America simply Is not mature enough for a Black pres.

A very very sad but true fact.

We've just had every single person in this thread say they'd back him.  I've never talked to a single person who didn't wish he'd run.

The problem isn't that America wouldn't elect him, it's that he won't run.  I know he has personal reasons related to his wife... doesn't she have Multiple Sclerosis or something like that?

Pretty damn sad that a good man does not wish to run for president because of all the crap he and his family would be subjected to.

Tarmac I think It might be a combo Of what Furious said above and You know and I know there would be some cracker somewhere that might go  wacky !

While I do believe that the large majority of Americans could have a Black Pres there is always that small minority of kooks out there.

I remember an interview of him and his wife.
And she stated that very concern.

Really suck too cause He Is the best MAN for the job right now.
I think most if not all foriegn leaders would respect him and work with him.

You guys are crafty with the hand-made protest signs and the intardnet.

Pick a time, get a couple thousand in each city out one Sunday afternoon and say as much.

I think momentum would take care of the rest.

I'd vote for him, no doubt. Can't find a trace of evil in his expressions or acts.

Looks like he's too straight to be a full-time politician. Too bad he's not interested about being a candidate.

MAybe I posted this before.. but who cares.

I saw Powell speak at a business conference before he was Sec. State. In the middle of his speech a couple of enlisted men in uniform snuck up in front of the stage and were crouching down trying to get a picture.
Powell stopped his speech in mid sentence, looked down at the guys and said something like "Can I help you sarge?" The sargeant just kinda pointed at his camera. Then Powell invited them both on stage, posed for a picture with each one, shook their hands and went back to the podium.
All he said before he restarted was "I really miss those guys."

He'd get my vote, hell I'd work for his campaign.
