enable f3 view for all vehicles but..

block the view of other planes/vehicles that would normaly be blocked by cockpit.

block all enemy vehicles.


yes, i know it isnt realistic.

But dern, the models look too cool and it is fun to 'watch yourself fly' sometimes.

would it really hurt the game that much?

YEs because you can f3 and move up above the gv and see for miles. Ext used to be on until Ht wised up and corrected it. Leave externals off, even for buffs...

Yeah, would love to have external views for everything all the time.  Too bad entire game is crippled because of alleged external views "unrealism" (like any cyber game is realistic).

External views are one of best things about Fighter Ace -- great fun to see those gorgeous aircraft in action.  External views also add tremendously to enjoyment of MS Flight Simulator 2004 (the best external viewing system) and X-Plane.  

Besides, fighting with external views is MUCH more difficult than fighting from inside the cockpit.   So what if you can see much more what's going on.  Few combat forces go into battle as blind as we are in Aces High.  Usually spotters and observers and recon and intel people feeding info.  

And when it comes to engaging and shooting -- 99.99% of people are going to be internal view with gunsight glued to the eyeball.  

External views for everything!  No perk points for anything!
