I have a
ATI 9500 Sapphire Card softmoded to a 9700 using these drivers, and for a $125.00 video board I am getting consistent framrates in the high 80s to 100 fps (max fps for my refresh rate).
Thru the ATI Control Panel, I am running 6X Anti-Alias and 16X Antro. With these settings, I still maintain the rates stated above and the graphic detail is spectacular.
While dogfighting, if zoomed in on the con, I can actually see the prop movement and control surface movement.
I have been using the Omega drivers for well over a year now and have NEVER had a problem with them. Current Omega ATI drivers now are based on the official Cat 4.4 drivers.
