"WEP recovery times on the Ta 152 and Fw 190D9 shortened."

Was wondering about that one. Are the recovery times similar to AH1 now, or are they even shorter? Always wondered why the liquid cooled 190's had the same cool down time as the radial powered 190's.

this may imply mw50 for the d9 and 152..

If this is the case what about the g10?

10 on 5 off? low alt should be 5 on 5 off...

It would be "neat" if mw50 ran out out...

Why only 5 min at low alts? ... and would it actually run out? I've read the 109's has enough MW50 for 30+ minutes of use ... I don't think I've ever used it that long without running out of fuel first (10 min on, 5 off, 10 on, 5 off, 10 on, that's a 40 min flight). Still a MW50 gauge would be nice.

The 109k had 26 min of mw50, yes it would run out...

5 min low was to reduce eng stress...

Pyro's already pretty much confirmed that MW50 is there on the 152.
He never did mention GM1, though.

Ok, thanks.

Just out of curiosity, why is the engine stress higher at low alts with MW50?
