Beta-29: Combat Trim indicator
« on: May 13, 2004, 12:05:02 PM »
With AH2, I am finally able to uncheck the Auto Combat Trim checkbox, and prevent CT from being turned on automatically when deselecting trim on speed or angle. This is great.

However, CT can be useful, and I like to be able to toggle it on or off, so I have a joystick button allocated to that purpose. It works - the text buffer message correctly confirms the CT status, and by diving/zooming the plane the setting becomes apparent - with CT off, the trim indicator does not move; with CT on it does.

But - with Auto combat trim function deselected at the checkbox, the CT light on the panel never illuninates, even when CT is ON.

Edit - the above scenario was in an F6F. On other planes, CT behaves in exactly the same way as in AH1. I cannot disable the auto combat trim function. On the 109G2, the CT indicator is way down low and cannot be seen in normal cockpit view.

If the light worked in the F6F, that would be the perfect CT setup.
