Glacey! Scrmbl here. :)  I've missed you since WB.

Guys, you don't know Glacey and need to understand his humour. He used to crack me up on RW with his sideways remarks about the game - while everyone else was taking it oh-so-seriously! :lol This thread is classic Glacey. IIRC, glacey, you're from Scotland living in Yorks.? Do you still fly that C206?

Thanks for this post - made my day! Good to see you again.

Whats wrong with the short bus.
« Reply #20 on: May 15, 2004, 03:45:50 AM »
My 9 year old son has to ride the short bus through no fault of his own, and prolly will FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.

And you folks make jokes about it.

And for those who say "lighten up" I cannot. I live with it everyday.

That's typically the bus that the special needs kids are picked up in.  Telling someone they rode the short bus to school is equivalent to calling them a 'tard.

Hi Scrmbl, nice to hear from you.  I keep forgetting you're a beetle now!  Nah, these days it's more likely a C.205 though I did take a Pitts up for an hour at Stewart a couple of years ago. Told the guy in the back I hadn't flown one for 24 years and he gave me complete control from getting in to getting out!  Turned out he thought I'd said I'd been flying 'em FOR 24 years!

Skuzzy, I was actually asking why I couldn't turn it off not where it was coming from. Despite my great age I got the picture within 30 seconds and, far from feeling excited, I became increasingly irritated by the profusion of blue filling the buffer. Just that I should like a choice whether to 'listen' or not.  I'm still none the wiser why that choice is denied 'cos I could always turn it on again if I got the urge to ask a question.

Is there a way to decrease the text buffer from 5 lines to zero if one doesn't want to listen to any of it?

I can't imagine why anyone would not want to see the blue text.  I'm just sorry I missed it; if I'd been there I'd have probably been happy to sit in the tower for the duration so as not to become distracted and miss any information.  I always marvel at the way Skuzzy (and other HTC staff) can read and answer so many questions so quickly.

SOB, yes, several times to no avail :) and Flossy yes, if the conversation had been about more accurate differential flight modelling I'd probably have done the same thing.  Just nice to have had some choice in the matter.

why would anyone want to squelch skuzzy? lol

He's a riot when he is on line.

Sounds to me like someone needs to remember the fact this is a game;)
