Well it finally came....

I will be writing a letter to Dr Pepper.

They sent me a Sony 65 inch TV, with a Sony "Dream System" 5 Speaker, 150 Watt Subwoofer, and 5 Disc DVD player.

It's not that I don't like it, but in the Paperwork they sent me they claimed it was a Philips Magnavox system and TV.

Oh Well

But I really want to know is.. I have a Computer with with S-Video Output and a Game Cube, I just wanted to know some info on Big Screen CPU and Console Gaming, I did a search and it didnt really amount to any good info, just wanted to know First hand If there are any Big Screen Gamers here with a few tips...

you have to make sure that your video card will accept multiple monitors and if it does, you should be able to use the S-Video to connect the TV to the computer. As for the GameCube, I don't know what kind of connectors they have but if they're like the Xbox and can use component video/audio cables, use those.

Im gonna tell you what i "think." You take that cord from yer vid card and put it in the "video in" slot. Then go down to radioshack tell them you need a cord that will make you able to let your comuter connect to a reciever. (only cause i forgot the name of the cable but they should know) and hook it up to your surround sound reciever. Then sit down n' enjoy

Watched Last Samurai two nights ago...

Man it kicks ass.

I have a lot of DVD's but I'm not really sure what to watch next.

I'm gonna hook my GameCube tonight after I get off work, and try to hook up PC sometime soon.

or maybe it hurts the screen, for some reason I've always heard that about Big Screen's. This has probably changed with the progress of Technology though.

Aces High would be insane on it, More Mellow games like SHII and Combat Mission would be awesome with thier awesome Sound Effects.

I played Ah on my work sony projector... The screen was huge and the large images make stuff easier to shoot... The bulbs are expensive but if one is carefull and follows the directions they can last for a year or two... I havent been able to convince work that I need projector at home yet but am working on it!

In 10 years we will all have large HDtv's hooked up playng AH with 60" screens, or large plasma screens...

Nef, the only problem you might run into is screen burn from objects (like the instrument panel) that stay in the same place. If you don't use it constantly as a gaming moniter it should be fine.
