Note: this is not a whine, just wanted to tell a bit of a story..forgive me this is my first time doing this, and I'm limited on time spent...
As our bish forces began to retake fields on the knit front, I found myself taking off from A6 right after it was taken. Seeing activity to the west over 28/47, i climbed out towards the west. After reaching 47 and finding that it had already been captured by our forces, I pondered where to go next. Then intruders were reported inbound to A6 from the North. I turned around and notified the bish command that I would investigate. At about 21k, I saw a pair of dots in the distance, slightly higher and headed towards them.. hoping they were buffs. They turned out to be a Spitfire and a Mustang... I was already well into my aft tank (190a5) and decided to leave and land at 6. They gave chase for a bit, and I actually managed to get behind the spitfire for a bit before they broke off (the acks started firing maybe). But before descending into my landing, I noticed the pair were going after a fellow bish that had taken off not long before. I immediately went to full throttle to attempt to help him. A fight ensued between the spitfire and the 2 of us. The spitfire was stuck onto the tail of my countryman very well.. and so I tried my best to close to firing range. Suddenly, the go vertical... perfect! I waited, and then pulled upwards, gaining on the spitfire.. just close to 350 or less and I have him! Then just as suddenly.. my plane is shaken by a cannon impact! I lose control as important parts were turned to dust and am forced to bail... a cannon armed p51?! Then, my countryman is shot down.. it was MaxQ in the spitfire.. who also gets credit for shooting me down! Then I remembered.. the acks were going off.. they hit me! After I landed I stormed back to the field to "thank" the new ack crew who shot me down. Unfortunately for me, they were bigger than I was.. what do you expect, I'm just a scrawny flieger? Thank goodness I at least outranked them.

p.s. <S> to MaxQ and JoyFul (i think) and thanks for not laughing at my predicament
