Thats realy  strange looking. And know thats not the flicker problem. That looks like some time of fill problem with video board. Only thing i can think of to try is check you vsysnc settings. And possible change antialising.

The Acer 2021 is a LCD monitor if I'm not mistaken. And, what you are seeing is the monitor being unable to keep up with the data being fed to it.

It's actually a common thing on LCD monitors especially with extremely fast video cards.

Really? Interesting, I'm wondering why we can see it in a screenshot then. I suppose thats not a scanned photo of the screen ;)

Not saying it aint so but it sounds strange... I think a screenshot shows what is send to the Monitor, not what is displayed by it. Or: You should be able to take screenshots with your monitor turned off. Right?

I've reduced the detail levels, .. reduced AGP aperture size, .. V-Sync was on all the time anyway, .. dirvers and bios is updated.

This effect happens only in AH2. In AH1 it works fine. I have no idea what i could try else.

Anyone else having this effect out there or am i the "unicum" :-)

airmess, I had the exact same problem in AH1 with any 190 and 109 cockpits, it was due overheat of the card (GF3 Ti500). At least in my case it was not inmediate, after some minutes I got few of these squares, then more squares and then even moving squares. I solved the problem adding a more powerful fan to the card, but this problem was only present with AH, never with any other game.

I had exactly the same effect in with my ATI 9800 Pro when I first got it. Airmess have you tried running one of the ATI Demos? If its showing that and worse in the Gargoyle one it could/probly is your memory overheating. Had to return mine to ATI for a new one.  Good luck
