Before AH, there was Hornet Korea.

The greatest online HTH sim evar. Just as good graphics, smooth 28K connects, pry the best online sim to date with missiles.

Guns only,  just seemed easy after that.

Graphsim. That code wasn't patched that I know of, it was just great.

Lomac ought to be ashamed. Im still waiting to install it after the initial 1 hour of being pissed off.

did WB use that graphsim engine or something like that?  maybe my brain is not working.

for me it was WB, had a guy teach me some stuff in a 38 after I had died by the boatloads.  Could hold my own after that.

Havent really flown a flight sim in almost a year and a half...wwiiol doesnt count as a flight sim yet..at least to me.

Fly with a squad.  I remember Kappa, Pbear and I flying mustangs on the deck to hit some az base and fighting our way out and landing 3-5 kills each  Im average by myself but with squaddies I rock!  Teamwork is the key

I had a fast computer in my lab in grad school.  Fly & die for 6 hours a day and pretty soon you don't die unless you want to.

I die less, but I still don't know what the hell I'm doing.  The dying less part is probably due to repetition.

AMEN!

That's where I, Sandman and a few others got our start online '96 thereabouts.

"Guns-only".... what memories.

As far as going from "dweeb to decent"... the jury is still so far out that we've given up on the idea of even callin' forensics.

What a great thread.  I remember Hornet Korea so well, and I still miss it sometimes.  I flew the HK ladder for about 6 months, and flew with a great squadron VFA-22 "Platinum Beavers"
