i think the typh is one of the greatest planes great guns speed and can take a beating just like a spit but with better guns and a spit9 can turn harder:D  i score most of my kills in that thing it rocks!!!!!!;)

I think Typhoon is not that weak. In my experience spits are among the most prone planes to catch fire when hit, along with zekes and Mossie.
